| Name: Mitali CommentsIt was marvelous to rediscover A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE on the big screen today. The beautiful, ravaged face of Vivien Leigh, the raw, primeval energy of Marlon Brando, and the innocent yet world weary wife of Stan Kowalski, played by Kim Hunter. I think I first watched STREETCAR when I was 17 and I didn't understand the nuances of the script and story. But now when I saw it again today, I understood much of what was happening. The performance I enjoyed most was Leigh's. I am now more of a fan of the lady than ever before. Such exquisite beauty, ravaged so fast by health problems, emotional problems. She was as fragile as the porcelain skin she possessed. After I watched the movie, I had to look at some page on Leigh on the Web and this is the one I came up with. Excellent pictures that I have always been looking for! These photographs capture her essence in my favorite films such as WATERLOO BRIDGE - the sheer tragedy of her character's life, for instance. I would like to see a gallery on STREETCAR, however. I did not find one whilst I was visiting your page. Many thanks! -Mitali. Name: Dave C. CommentsVivien Leigh was an incredibly beautiful and exceptionally talented actress, and we will not see the likes of her again in this world. But then again, we don't have to. This lady was truly one of a kind, and that's all that matters. Bravo. Name: Nikki Martinez CommentsI had to write a paper on Vivien Leigh. She is by far my favorite actress. she has such style and grace, and it really shows here. I found more information here than I did at three libraries. Name: Mitali CommentsI looked at the "Films" section on this page. Very well done but it would be interesting to see a short plot synopsis as well. Name: Mitali CommentsHi all, Name: Sandy CommentsI like Vivien Leigh just as I saw Gone With The Wind. Her acting is so great! I enjoy her movies!!! Name: Heather CommentsThank you so much for having this page. Viven Leigh was a wonderful actress, and deserves all the credit she can get. Thanks again! Love and aupport, Heather Name: Daniel CommentsYour page is a remarkable tribute to a brilliant actress. Vivien Leigh's talent and beauty are truly unparalleled. I am hoping you can send me 2 photos: one is the background for the "Gallery" section and the other is the background for "Waterloo Bridge." These are my 2 favorite poses of her, as they capture her tragic melancholy and timeless glamour. Thank you again for your contribution to the legacy of Vivien Leigh. Name: Veronika CommentsThank you for feeding my addiction to all things Vivien. There's nothing like a V.L. fix to brighten my day!! You've got some really not-often-seen and spectacular photos. What a lovely job you've done. Go Vivien!! Name: KLW CommentsThis has to be one of the B-E-S-T webpages I have ever found of Vivien Leigh! Before, When I was surfin the Net, I didn't have a CLUE about her real self! Now, thanks to you, I know way more about her! Thanx!!!!!!!! Name: Marc Joshi CommentsWhen I first saw Gone With The Wind at the age of three I was captivated by the incredible woman whose beauty was only matched vy her willfulness. I have since watched Gone With The Wind a total 256 times. I love it. Because it was the perfect flower of that age a beaufiful symbol of an age of movie making so sadly gone with the wind... Vivien Leigh has been and still is my favourite actor and in my opinion the moast beautiful woman to ever grace the silver screen. From her oustanding performance in Gone With The Wind to her beautiful portayal of Myra Lester in Waterloo Bridge, she has captivated my attention for years. I was devestated to find out that my mother had infact met her while she was on tour in Austral and i think I cursed her for ages for not giving birth to earlier so i could meet her. This exceptional site is fitting tribute to a beautiful woman, with a tragic story. July 7 was the day the world lost Vivien Leigh and althoughwe have lost the person, we have not lost her legend which shall be forever immortalised in her great pictures. (all bar to of which i have seen) Thank you Matt and Thank you, MS VIVIEN LEIGH. Name: Marc CommentsThis is the second time i have signed this. I just want to say how wonderful the site is again. thanks Name: Bill CommentsYou have done a marvelous job in preparing this very complete tribute to one of the silver screens most beautiful and talented actresses of all time. One disturbing fact I learned from your site was the sale of her Academy Award to a private collector, something of this stature should be displayed for Vivien's adoring public to see. At any rate, I enjoyed your site very much. Thanks for taking the time to create it. Name: Tatiane Mineia James CommentsThe first time I have ever seen Vivien Leigh,I was 9 years old and the movie was GWTW.I simply loved her.Now I'm going to be 17 and I've already seen all of her movies and I have almost all of them!I think there will never be another actress like her. Name: Darlene Joy Harry CommentsShe always been one of the beautiful woman among the others. She suffered preassure. That was very bad to her and still i can feel how she felt during her life. Zidon CommentsI love Vivien Leigh, but she's not my favorite actress. My favorite actresses are Jean Harlow and Norma Shearer. But Vivien looks a little like me, and she is a very good actress. I only saw here in GWTW, which I first saw when I was ten. Two years later, I'm shocked to see that she didn't get along with Clark Gable offset. Oh, well. She deserved the Oscar for that film. I want to see Waterloo Bridge badly! Name: Stella Comments"A Streetcar Named Desire" is my favorite movie of all time. Miss Leigh was absolutely fabulous as "Blanche." The site is very nice, but please expand a great deal on ASND. Name: Iara Brazil CommentsThis page is simply wonderful!! FROM THE TIME I SAW THE MOVIE "WATERLOO BRIDGE" I HAVE BECOME ONE OF THE GREATEST FANS OF THIS BRILLIANT AND BEAUTIFUL ACTRESS.VIVIEN LEIGH WAS CERTAINLY ONE OF THE MOST VIVID AND TALENTED ACTRESS OF HER TIMES. SHE LIVES TO THIS DAY IN THE HEARTS OF MILLIONS AND MOST CERTAINLY MINE. Name: Bonnie CommentsFirst of all, I am delighted to find such an extensive and informationally page on Vivien Leigh. Vivein has a way of captivating the true essence of drama in whatever form it may come. She was a strong, self-motivated woman and by my standards way ahead of her time. We are truly lucky to have such a "star" grace the silver screen. Name: Erica Bone CommentsHi ! I've seen all of Vivien's movies. The first one I saw was GWTW. Once Isaw it I knew I had to see all of her movies. And I did thet week. Now I have a little shrine for her. This is a great web site. Name: Lisa Kennedy CommentsVivien Leigh was a brilliant, beautiful actress. I haven't seen very many of her films, only 4 of them so far, but I am hoping to see more. I try to collect memrobilia on her too, but there isn't much on her to get really. I have got a GWTW script, a poster of Scarlett (I got that in America. It's funny that she's an English actress and I had to go all the way to LA to get a poster on her!!) and a biography. She's great!! "And if it won't pain you, India Wilkes, I'd like to know WHY you're staring at me? Has my face gone green or something?!" Name: Vincent De Paul CommentsShe is a remarkably talented person! Name: Donald Dolce CommentsI am a devoted fan of Miss Leigh and particularly of The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone. Does anyone have any further data on this film other than what is covered in her three biographies. Also, Does anyone have a copy of The Deep Blue Sea? Name: Melanie CommentsThis the awsomest Vivien Leigh page around. I loved the pictures. It was so informative and I just really loved it. Keep up the good work. Name: Steve CommentsHello, strangers! A YANK AT OXFORD is being shown on Turner Classic Movies on Monday, May 18 at 1:30 AM. This is one of several of Vivien's earlier films that is not available for purchase on video. If anyone would be able to make me a copy of this or any other of her unavailable titles, I would be VERY grateful. (please, please, please) STEVE Cranbury, NJ USA rdnzl@erols.com Name: Dawn CommentsI am a 28 year old female who literally grew up watching Vivien as Scarlett. Later I branched out into more of her films, my favorite being "That Hamilton Woman". She truly was the epitome of beauty and elegance with a firey, wicked sense of humor. I would love to have met her. It would be very enjoyable to be in contach with others who adore the "Vivling" as I do. Name: Darcie Tocco CommentsVivien Leigh was the most beautiful actress in the history of the profession. I plan to be the next Vivien Leigh. I promise you, one day you will see MY name in lights and people begging to write MY biography. I WILL be the next Vivien Leigh. Name: Elise Bush CommentsIt is a great tribute to Vivien Leigh that you have obviously put so much thought and time into the creation of this excellent website. It's beautiful work! Thanks-- Elise Bush Portland, Oregon (Vivien fan for 25 years!) Name: DCO CommentsEasily the best Web site on Miss Leigh I've ever seen. I may be the only Leigh fan in the world who prefers so many of her other performances to that of Scarlett. I think the only film of hers that I've not yet seen (with the exception of the first four quickies) is "The Deep Blue Sea." I plan on tracking it down. I read my first bio of Leigh in junior high school; I'm now in my thirties, and am more fascinated with this woman's life & career than ever. Books by Hugo Vickers, Alexander Walker, Anne Edwards, Jesse Lasky Jr., Angus Macbean, & John Russell Taylor only scratch the surface. The REAL book has yet to be written. Maybe I'll have to write it myself. How far short today's actresses fall of her enormous legend! Still, that seems appropriate. Name: Seochulju CommentsVivien Leigh is forever..... She is my idol, she has beauty....... Name: Marie Michaelson CommentsI saw GWTW when I was 13 years old, was my very first movie. From that time on I have been a fan. Just in the passed few years have I been able to live my dream to find out more about the person that made a movie so real and be so good at the part of Scarlett O'Hara. Name: W. Fung CommentsVery Good. Name: Lisa CommentsVivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara is quite simply one of the best performances ever given by an actress. Rumour has it that "Gone with the Wind" is being re-released this June 26. If anyone knows if this true, please let me know. Name: Hanna CommentsThis page is really cool. I love it so much! Vivien Leigh is my favourite actress. Ever since I watched "Gone With The Wind" I fell in love with her acting. She was so pretty and elegant. She deserved her Oscar for Best Actress. My favourite movies of hers are "Gone With The Wind" and "Waterloo Brigde". She did fabulous acting there. I love her so much! I also like Clarke Gable and Olivia DeHavilland. I just love Vivien. She's so pretty and beautiful!!!!!!!! Name: radu colceru CommentsI LOVE HER.SHE IS THE BEST AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ACTRESS I HAVE EVER SEEN . I WANT TO MEET SOME FANS . Name: Candace B.
